Today’s mission is to tell someone how the past 40 days have impacted in your life.  Shout it out to anyone that will listen – your mom, your dad, your youth pastor, your best friend.
Post it on Twitter, Facebook, or Snapchat.  Spend some time at the lunchroom table telling your friends about your experience.

Have dinner with your family tonight and share your favorite part of the 40 days and how it has impacted your life.  Tell them how this challenge has helped you grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Before you go to bed make sure to post something on the 40 Days of Relentless Facebook page.

REFLECT:

How was your day? Who did you share with? What did you learn?

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

It’s hard to believe that we are on the final stretch of our 40 days!  If you haven’t shared a story on Facebook at www.facebook.com/40restless take some time today and share a story!

Today’s challenge is to invest in one of your friends that you have been praying for by giving them a Bible.  This is a huge investment.  You may give them one of your Bibles or you may purchase a Bible for them.

Make sure you take some time and highlight some of your favorite Bible verses in the Bible.  Also, write a note inside the front cover letting them know how much you care about them!
This may be the greatest gift that your friend has ever received.  This may be the greatest gift you’ve ever given!!

REFLECT:
How was your day? How did it feel to give a Bible? What did you learn?

DAY 34: PAY IT FORWARD

REFRESH:
Read: Acts 6 & 7
Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Today is about doing something nice for someone in hopes that they will in turn do something nice for someone else – thus pay it forward.

As you go about your day look for something nice that you can do for someone, do it, and when they say, “Thank You” you say, “Would you consider doing something nice for someone else?

The key here is to give yourself away and ask for nothing in return except that they might pay it forward.  Try and do this all day long – at school, home, baseball field, or wherever you might be!

This is going to be another fun day of loving on people!  Make sure to share your stories at www.facebook.com/40relentless!

REFLECT:
How was your day? Did anyone pay it forward? What did you learn?

DAY 29: ROCK N' ROLL

REFRESH:
Read: Mark 15
Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?
Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.
REVEAL:
With Easter just around the corner one can’t help but think about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  When Jesus died he was placed in a borrowed tomb and a huge rock was rolled in front of the grave.
As Jesus conquered death and rose from the grave nothing could keep Him in the grave – not even a huge rock! Just like Jesus busted out of the grave his death and resurrection destroys the sin that keeps us from God.
As you leave the house today find a rock and put it in your pocket. Place the rock on your desk and as people ask you why you have the rock tell them about Christ’s death and resurrection.  If you want, carry an extra rock and give it to one of your friends and share it’s meaning with them.
REFLECT:
How was your day? What did you see? What did you learn?

DAY 28: 3x5 CARD

REFRESH:
Read: Mark 14
Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?
Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.
REVEAL:
Today’s goal is to encourage others by sharing God’s Word with them. As you spend time finding refreshment in God’s Word this morning make note of a few verses and write each one down on a separate 3x5 card.
As you go throughout your day look for ways that you can share one of your 3x5 cards with someone to encourage them.
Make sure to keep your eyes open and look for ways you can bless others by sharing God’s Word.  How exciting it is to see someone’s day lifted because of God’s Word!  That’s exciting stuff!
Keep your eyes open and have fun sharing God’s Word with others!

REFLECT:
How was your day? Did you surprise anyone today? What did you learn?

DAY 25: UNPLUG

REFRESH:

Read: Luke 18

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation.  I will be honored throughout the world.”

Today we are unplugging from the world.  We will not watch or listen to any media unless it is the Bible or your homework.

That means that we will not listen to our iPods, watch TV, listen to the radio, play video games, or go to the movies.

This is a great opportunity to spend time sitting at God’s feet talking to him and listening to Him.  As you unplug make some time to be still before God.

REFLECT:

How was your day? Did you unplug fully today? What did you learn?

DAY 24: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR

REFRESH:

Read: Mark 1

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

In Mark 12 Jesus reminds us that the second greatest commandment is to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Today’s challenge is to live out this commandment by picking one of your neighbors and doing a random act of kindness.
What does that look like?  It could be baking them cookies, helping them with a project, mowing their lawn (ask permission), wash their car, or making a banner saying “Terrific Neighbor!”

This would also be a great opportunity to mend any fences between you and any of your neighbors.  If you need to ask for forgiveness do that too!

Whatever you do have fun with it and make sure they feel appreciated.

REFLECT:

How was your day? How did it go today? What did you learn?

DAY 23: THANKS FRIEND!

REFRESH:
Read: John 1:6-34

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:
Did you know we are better together?  That’s why today you are to say a special thank you to a friend in your life that encourages you and challenges you to be the best you can be for Jesus.

Take time today to write a thank you card to that friend, or send them a video via Facebook, or take them out for yogurt or coffee and tell them thank you in person.  Whatever you choose to do make it special!

Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us of the value of having like-minded friends in our lives.
They keep us out of trouble, encourage us and help us in our time of need.  What a great day to celebrate those friends in our lives.

REFLECT:
How was your day? What did you see? What did you learn?

You can hand out bottles of water in the school parking lot.  Give cookies to students at lunch.  Bring a Blow pop for everyone on your bus. Buy chocolate candy for your teachers.
Whatever you do be creative and make sure that what your doing has an element of showing God’s love.

Make sure to post a story or two on the 40 Days of Relentless Facebook page (www.facebook.com/40relentless).

Spend time praying that God will continue to be with your friends and
soften their hearts as you invite them to church in the coming days!

Pray that God would prepare the church to welcome your friends as they come in our doors.  May we be warm and welcoming!

DAY 20: BLITZ YOUR TEACHER

REFRESH:

Read: Daniel 5

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Write an encouraging note to a teacher today.  Let them know how
thankful you are for them and for all that they do for the students.  Make sure you let them know that you prayed for him/her today.

Not sure what to pray for?  Teachers have a challenging job so pray for strength and wisdom for them.  They work really long hours, so pray for perseverance and blessings for them as they are away from their
families.  Teachers spend a lot of time with students, so pray for patience and understanding.

Make sure you hand the note to the teacher and if you are comfortable ask them if there is anything that you can pray for them today.  Adults can write a similar note to a co-worker or close friend.

REFLECT:

How was your day? What did your teacher think? What did you learn?

REFRESH:

Read: Isaiah 58

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Today is a big day!  You will have the opportunity to share your story with a friend.  Yesterday you skipped lunch so you could take a friend to lunch today and share with them your rescue story!

As you leave the house ask God for strength to be able to share your story today over lunch.  Trust that God is with you as you go!

You can always start the conversation something like this: “Hey                                                          , we’ve been friends for a while now and I wanted to share with you the coolest thing that ever happened to me.  Would that be okay with you?”

You can do it!!!  Don’t preach at them and make sure to listen to their
response!

REFLECT:

How was your day? How did your friend respond? What did you learn?

DAY 18: SKIP LUNCH

REFRESH:

Read: Jonah 3

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to
my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Skip lunch today and save that money for the person you’re going to buy lunch for tomorrow. During the time that you would regularly eat lunch take time to pray for the person you will be buying lunch for tomorrow.

Make sure to check with your parents about fasting lunch, as we don’t want anything to happen to you!

Tomorrow is a big day.  Take time preparing yourself to share your faith tomorrow by writing your story tonight.  There is a how-to guide at www.brandonyouth.com.  Make sure to share how Jesus has changed your life!  Make sure to connect with your prayer partner tonight and pray for each other!

REFLECT:

How was your day? What did you pray for at lunch? What did you learn?

DAY 17: SHOW YOUR COLORS

REFRESH:

Read: 1 Kings 3

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Today is all about showing your “colors”.  If you’re not already, wear a cross or another Christian symbol.  Wear it for the rest of the 40 days as a reminder of the great sacrifice that was made on your behalf.

When you see someone else wearing a cross, ask why he or she is wearing it.  This is a great conversation starter towards spiritual things.  Make sure you listen to their response, as it will tell you a ton about their own spiritual life.

Each time you see someone wearing a cross today take a minute and pause, remember the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God for the great sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for you.

REFLECT:

How was your day? What did you see? What did you learn?

DAY 16: TARGET ACQUIRED

REFRESH:

Read: Psalm 1

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

On Day 13, you completed some surveys with your friends.  Look over those surveys and begin to pray and target those who you believe Jesus would have you pray for every day as you prepare to share your story with them.

Write the names of those 2 or 3 people down on a 3x5 card and put the card somewhere you will see it and be reminded to pray.  Put it on the dash of your car, set an alarm on your phone, stick it to the bathroom mirror.  Whatever you do, put it somewhere that you will see everyday.

When you pray, ask God to open the door for you to share your story with them.  Remember, these are people that you already have a relationship with and not complete strangers or mere acquaintances.

REFLECT:

How was your day? Who did you pray for? What did you learn?

SUNDAY: BREAKFAST

Sunday is a really important day in the 40 days of Relentless.  It is a day we set aside to come together for worship, encouragement and to share what’s been going on during the week with fellow believers.  The author of Hebrews reminds us of this truth:

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one
another to acts of love and good works.  And let us not neglect our
meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another,
especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

Hebrews 10:23-25 (NLT)

Nothing is more important than taking this time to refresh ourselves so make sure not to miss worship this morning.  Today would also be a great time to reconnect with your prayer partner.  It’s also a great day to share your stories at facebook.com/40Relentless.

REFRESH YOURSELF! REFUEL YOUR SOUL!

DAY 15: DAD'S ROCK

REFRESH:

Read: 1 Samuel 15

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Go do something special with your dad today.  Maybe go fishing with him, play golf, or see a movie.   Make sure you do something he enjoys.

The goal for today is to get closer to your dad.  If you don’t have a dad then pick someone who is like a father figure to you!

Make sure you let them know how much you appreciate them and love them.

At the end of your time together tell your dad thank you for being your dad!  If you want to go the extra mile write him a thank you note and leave it somewhere conspicuous for him at the end of the day!

Go Dads!!

REFLECT:

How was your day? What did your dad think? What did you learn?

to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

Today you are challenged to invite a friend to church.  You’ve been
praying for 3 or 4 friends.  Now is the time to invite one of those friends
to church with you this Sunday.

Be sure you make plans to pick them up this Sunday and maybe plan to take them out to lunch afterward.

While at lunch ask them what they thought about their experience at church.  Be ready to answer any questions they might have about what they saw or experienced.

After lunch ask them if they would be interested in coming back with you again next week.

REFLECT:

How was your day? How did the invite go? What did you learn?

DAY 13: SURVEY THE LAND

REFRESH:

Read: Judges 7

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

If you go to www.brandonyouth.com you will find a simple spiritual
survey.  Download 3-4 copies of this survey.  Your mission for today is
to ask three or four people to fill out the survey.

The purpose of this survey is to begin to dialogue with these people about who God is and their need for a Savior.  This is an important day and not one that you will want to miss.

Before you leave the house today ask God to open the hearts and minds of these three or four people ahead of time.

Make sure you read over the survey yourself and be prepared to answer any questions that your friends might have.

REFLECT:

How was your day? How did people respond? What did you learn?

DAY 12: FANTASTIC FOUR

REFRESH:

Read: Joshua 3-4

Relate: What does this passage say about God? How does this apply to my life?

Respond: Take a moment and write your thoughts to God.

REVEAL:

As you read Colossians 4:2-3 you will see Paul reminding us to look around and pray for others.  You are to spend today praying for the
person that sits in front of you, behind you, to your left, and to your right in your classes.

As you pray, ask yourself how you can be a light to them.  Get to know those sitting around you.  Consider leaving a note of encouragement for someone you prayed for during the day.

Adults you can do this too.  As you go through the day, pray for the
people around you.  Pray for your co-workers, your waitress at lunch, the person checking you out at the grocery store, and the driver next to you.

Did you know 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 tells us to pray continually?

REFLECT:

How was your day? Who did you pray for today? What did you learn?
